Investment Report I am pleased to report that Saint John’s investment portfolio grew by 12.7 percent in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2013. Many individual funds had positive returns, and most outperformed their respective benchmarks. On an annualized basis, our portfolio has outperformed the Blended Index for the 10-year period. Our returns also compare favorably with peer colleges and universities. The fund balance for Saint John’s endowment increased significantly from $141.5 million on July 1, 2012 to $152.2 million for the year ending June 30, 2013. This increase was the result of the combination of new gifts to endowment and investment returns exceeding the draw from the endowment.
