Bulletin Board SARATOGA SPRINGS - The Saratoga Brumbies (Women’s) Rugby Team is starting their fall season and looking for some new faces to add to the club. We welcome all women 18+ regardless of fitness/experience level. The women’s team is a small social club that strives to have fun, foster positive friendships and make a good name for ourselves in the community. Rugby is a great sport of fitness, endurance, and wit and it gives most women a feeling of strength they don’t often feel. Auxiliary is looking for market vendors for their indoor market to be held once a month at the Lodge, 1 Elks Lane, off Rte.9 Maple Avenue, Saratoga, on Sundays from 11 to 3:30 pm. Admission is free and the cost for an 8 foot table space is $15 each paid in advance. Doors will open to set up at 9:30 am. The next dates are October 27, and November 24. There are also a few outdoor spaces available if you have your own tables and chairs. Come and enjoy; for an application or to answer any questions please call Linda at 289-5470 or Debbie at 885-6506. The money is used for our ongoing community donations.

ROUND LAKE - Dates for the annual Craft Fair at Corpus Christi Church in Round Lake have been announced. Crafters will display their wares at the church hall on November 2 and 3, 2013. Chairperson Diane Marco (899-4874) or Judy Ewing (877-5678) may be contacted for further information and directions to the location at 2001 Route 9 and Ushers Road. Mark your calendars! This is an event not to be missed.

Non-Profit Fundraising Opportunity from Home Made Theater SARATOGA SPRINGS - Home Made Theater, Saratoga’s resident theater company, is offering fellow non-profit organizations the opportunity to raise funds while enjoying an evening out at the theater. For each of HMT’s opening nights of the 2013-2014 season, a non-profit group can benefit from the sale of up to 100 tickets. The group will receive half of all box office sales completed using a special promotional code which can be used by members of the group and the general public. As an additional benefit, the participating organization may promote their organization by adding an insert to the opening night playbill or posting a sign in the Spa Little Theater lobby. The opening nights for HMT’s 2013-2014 season are as follows: Friday, October 11, 2013 for THE DROWSY CHAPERONE; Friday, December 13, 2013 for CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY; Friday, February 7, 2014 for WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION; and Friday, April 18, 2014 for BOEING BOEING. Jingle Bell Run 5K® CAPITAL DISTRICT - The Arthritis Foundation of Northeastern NY Announces Plans for “Jingle Bell Run” 5k ® Timed 5k to be held at new location; Central Park, Schenectady. Early Registration Now Underway! Bells will be ringing through the air at the “Jingle Bell” Run/Walk to benefit the Arthritis Foundation of Northeastern NY. The “Jingle Bell” Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2013. Registration begins at 8:30 am with the 5k Run beginning at 10:00 am. All proceeds of the event will support the programs, services and research to youth and individuals with Arthritis. Registration fee is $25 prior to the event (After October 1st) or $30 day of. Registration fee for children 12 years of age or younger is $15 prior to the event or $20 day of.
