Dear Holstein Enthusiast, It is with great pride that we invite you to the Best of Both Worlds Sale. We are excited to have the event as a kick off for a new venture we are starting and believe it is the perfect way to get things started. Our company, St. Jacobs ABC has grown over the past 5 years because of people like you with passion for great cattle. We believe in putting back into the business that is making us successful and bulls like Dundee, Aftershock, Destry, Heztry and now Brazzle have all had huge impacts in the business and are allowing us to grow our company.

For many years we have owned cattle and they have been housed at many great locations. Many of our partnership cattle have been housed by the partners and many of those partners have become our best friends. We certainly plan to keep owning cattle with partners and some of our special cows like Gold Barbara and Cameron will stay at the great hotels they are currently in but others will come to our new facility. A little about the facility, we have rented a facility for milk cows and heifers that is currently part of St. Pierre Farms. Mark St Pierre and his family have built a very successful operation with thousands of acres and over 3200 milk cows. We will be working with them to lease the farm, get our feed and have recipients for our programs. This family is one of the most successful in our area and we look forward to working with them. The other key ingredient is Renee Baker. Renee and her husband, Chet have been long-time friends and Renee will be our partner in this operation providing day to day management for the farm and looking after the cattle. Renee has managed large herds, calf operations, her own farm and has looked after cows that she helped develop into Madison champions. As with everything we do, family is what makes us tick and to add Chet and Renee and Mark and Amanda St Pierre and their family to our St. Jacobs family is very exciting. Our goal of the operation is simple. We want to breed cattle that are similar to our philosophy with our AI company, St. Jacobs ABC. We want great type cows, that have deep cow families and strong sire stacks and make you want to go the barn each morning. Great cattle fuel us and we believe this herd can offer a great deal to the industry. We will always have cattle to sell, and we hope to host a sale now and then in beautiful northern Vermont. The Best of Both Worlds is our first event. We believe it fits perfectly into our vision of fueling the passion for great cattle. We have teamed up with some of the most passionate people we know, Brian & Amber Craswell from Brian Craswell Auctions, Ltd. & Crasdale Farms in PEI and Simon Lalande and Kim Cote from Ferme Blondin in Quebec. They have owned, bred and sold great cattle and when you see what they have assembled for this sale, you will be impressed! We have a large group of cattle for the sale with over 100 MILK COWS. You can add milk to your herd during these great times in the industry while still adding cattle with pedigrees that you can breed from. We have a fun couple days planned. Our schedule includes a tour of St. Pierre’s commercial milking and calf raising facility, a pig roast and lots of great fellowship. Our sale headquarters is at the Jay Peak Ski resort. They have great facilities including an indoor water park, beautiful views, hiking and close by golfing.
