A big “Thank You” goes to everyone who completed and returned the Development questionnaire. Members of the Planning and Licensing Committee are collating all these replies, which will be put together in a document. This will be the basis of Horsforth’s response to future development proposals. Once the analysis is complete the results will be circulated.
The Council welcomes its new member, Paul Hanley, following the by election in the Broadfields ward. This follows the unexpected death of Sylvia Whitlock, in December, who had represented Broadfields since the inception of the Council in 1999. The introduction of a new councillor is a reminder to the Council, and to the Public, that Horsforth in Bloom will again be hosting the judges the Council is in place to promote the well fare of for the “In Bloom” Competition. The Council gives the area, now and in the future. the “In Bloom” committee sponsorship through the Community and Environment Committee. The Council has recently achieved what is called Every one in Horsforth – residents and businesses the Power of Competence.
