The slump started when the Lady Monsoons of Mesa Prep Academy came to Lobo Gym and handed the Lobos a five set defeat. The Lady Lobos fought hard but had trouble landing their spikes, losing the first two sets with score 22 to 25 and 18 to 25. The Lady Lobos started talking and moving finally getting the spikes and serves inside the lines to win the next two sets with scores of 25 to 23 and 27 to 25 to force the fifth set.
