Olin E. Teague VA Medical Center Situated on CTVHCS’s Temple campus, the Olin E. Teague Veterans Medical Center provides medical care to the area’s veteran population, including veterans of the Iraqi war. The medical center’s services include outpatient and inpatient care, including primary, tertiary, and long-term care in medicine, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, oncology, dentistry, geriatrics, extended care, hospice, environmental health, and a women’s clinic. The Temple campus cares for the majority of general medicine and surgery patients within CTVHCS and offers a clinic for spinal cord injuries. As headquarters of the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System, the VA Medical Center in Temple is a major medical teaching and research center affiliated with the Texas A&M Health Science Center’s College of Medicine and the University of Texas Southwestern Austin Program. Staffed by more than 2,300 medical professionals and support personnel, the 185-acre campus in Temple houses: • A 252 bed acute-care hospital • A 408-bed domiciliary, the second-largest in the nation • A 90-bed community living center (nursing home) • A 120-bed State Veterans Home In addition to participation in residency training programs with Texas A&M and Scott & White, CTVHCS administers a dental residency program and a psychology internship, along with programs in substance abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder. More than 200 university residents, interns, and students are trained at CTVHCS annually. For the 2010–11 academic resident program, 64 residency slots have been approved, with 55 slots already filled.

King’s Daughters Clinic King’s Daughters Clinic is a multi-specialty clinic that offers an array of services through a team of primary care physicians and specialists. Specialties include allergy/asthma, family medicine, gastroenterology, internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, ophthalmology, ear-nose-throat, pediatrics, podiatry, rheumatology, and urology. Recent additions to the clinic, which has six locations in the Temple area, include the new Surgery Center and a new Imaging Services Center offering CT scanning and MRIs.
