Garden View Care Center

Life at Garden View Care Center can be described with one word — FUN! The philosophy is that life doesn’t stop when you have a health problem. The center utilizes activity-focused care to keep the community focused on positive life and living. In the past, nursing home centers kept the focus strictly on treating the illness as opposed to treating the patient, but not at Garden View. The philosophy is to engage the patient with participation, to be connected and to benefit from care that includes them, and not care that is performed on them. They have a specialty in working with Alzheimer’s and dementia patients and are members of the Alzheimer’s Association — care is provided for the patient, but support is provided to the family. They also have an adult-day program for those families who are able to keep their loved ones at home, but need a little help when it’s time to go to work. www.ofallonchamber.org 13
