2013 is the bi-centenary of the birth of
Dr John Rae,
ARCTIC EXPLORER & DISCOVERER OF THE NORTHWEST PASSAGE and as part of the John Rae 200 celebrations, Stromness Museum will host an
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE to celebrate his achievements.
The conference will be held in
Stromness, Orkney from the
28th – 30th September 2013. This three day conference will comprise 22 papers, a workshop, 3 evening events and a fieldtrip.
