773. The Krimissan Alliance. Circa 320 BC. AR Hemidrachm (1.92 gm). ΟΜΟΝΟΙΑ, laureate female head (Homonoia or Concordia) right / ΚΙΜΙΣΣ, flaming homed altar, garlanded, with branches at sides. Ex Barone Pennisi di Floristella Collection. Byfar the more common variety of thisEx R. Jameson Collection; ex Sir Arthur J. Evans Collection. scarce type has a aayfish replacing one of thefish, and the artist's signature below the Evans posits this coin depicts an altar near the Krimissos river and the alliance head ofAmenanos. This variety is not located in any of the major collections. (Homonoia) between two or more cities of the region, probably Segesta and Panormos.
