Today, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Oklahoma City Thunder will square off for the final time this season. In their first matchup against the Thunder on Dec. 12, Anthony Parker scored 12 points and Daniel Gibson added 11. The Cavs have won four of the last five meetings against Oklahoma City, as well as the last five against them at Quicken Loans Arena. Cleveland trails the all-time series 57-40. On the season, Clevelandâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s bench ranks seventh in the NBA in bench scoring, averaging 34.9 points per game. Against Golden State last Tuesday, Clevelandâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s bench outscored the Warriors reserves 46-23, led by Baron Davis, who had a team-high 19 points. In his first three games with the Cavs, Davis is averaging 18.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.0 steals in 28.3 minutes per game off the bench. He is also shooting 10-18 (.556) from long range with the Cavs. Ryan Hollins also gave the team a huge lift off the bench against the Warriors with a season-high 14 points on 6-8 (.750) shooting in 24 minutes. After tonight, the Cavs will embark on a three-game road trip that begins in Sacramento on Wednesday.
Baron Davis scored a team-high 19 points against the Warriors on Tuesday night.
Oklahoma City is the top free throw shooting team in the league, connecting on .824 of their attempts from the charity stripe. The team also averages 104.8 points per game (5th) and is led by forward Kevin Durant, who leads the NBA in scoring with 28.2 points per game. His teammate Russell Westbrook is also a high scorer, averaging 22.4 points and 8.5 assists per game.
