E • AGGRESSION • SPEED • RELENTLESS • TENACITY CLEMSON Lady Tigers Clemson Tiger Sports Network Fans will once again be able to follow the Clemson women’s basketball team on the airwaves, regionally with Clemson Tiger Sports Properties and in Clemson with WCCP-FM (104.9). The Clemson Tiger Sports Network will is tentatively scheduled to broadcast 12 games for the 2011-12 season. All games will begin airing 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Don Munson will return for his eighth season as the play-by-play announcer for the Network. Munson took over for the 2003-04 season after the passing of legend Jim Phillips, who had broadcast numerous Clemson games as the voice of the Tigers. He had previously worked with CTSN for several years as network host in the mid to late 1990s. Munson has also served as the play-byplay announcer for Appalachian State and UNC Asheville basketball, while also calling Western
Carolina football and basketball. He currently serves as the play-by-play announcer for Clemson baseball games, and is the Director of Creative Media Services at Clemson, tkaing that post in June. Munson will be joined on the air by Kanetra Queen, who is in her fifth year as the full-time color commentator. Queen is no stranger to Clemson women’s basketball. Her current post is as the team’s Director of Basketball Operations, but she was also a four-year letterwinner for the Lady Tigers and a three-time Academic All-ACC selection. Don Munson Queen will also partner with Roy Philpott for broadcasts on WCCP-FM. Philpott has appeared an hosted many shows on WCCP-FM, and worked most recently with The Score show from 12-2p daily. Philpott, who graduated from Clemson, also runs 2011-12 Tentative CTSN Schedule CUTigers.com.
