Helps in increasing lifespan A research was undertaken by specialists from Queen’s University Belfast. In this research, they had conducted a survey of overall state of health on the regularity of sexual intercourse. They studied the mortality data among approximately 1,000 middle-aged men over a period of ten years. It was found that men who had active sex lives had the mortality rate of much lower than men who did not have sex at all.

Helps in relieving stress One of the greatest health benefits of sex is that it lowers metro

blood pressure and stress. They studied 24 women and 22 men whose sexual activities were kept in record. After that they were subjected to some stressful situations like speaking in public and doing verbal arithmetic. During this situation, their blood pressure was recorded. It was found that those who had intercourse had better responses to stress than others who were only engaged in other sexual behaviors or abstained from it. It was also found that frequent intercourse was associated with lower diastolic blood pressure. Yet another research found a link between partner hugs and lower blood pressure in women.

Helps in heart care The researchers also found that having sex twice or more a week reduced the risk of fatal heart attack by half for the men, compared with those who had sex less than once a month.
