ADVENTURE WITH PASTELS
Pastels may cause an allergic reaction in some people. Students will develop their drawing skills while also learning to paint with the rich medium of soft pastel. Pastel is a gorgeous opaque medium that mixes quite differently than other paint media. Students will draw and paint a range of subjects while learning various pastel techniques, as well as on an array of surfaces to get different results. If you enjoy color and/or opaque paint medium, you may fall in love with pastels! There is an $18 supply fee due to the instructor the first day of class. No class 5/27. INCLUSIONARY ARTS & CRAFTS
This class strives to provide an encouraging environment where children have fun and build self-esteem while creating exciting works of art. Throughout the course, students will work with a variety of tactile materials such as clay, dough, beads and magnets, which helps to increase hand-eye coordination and improve motor skills. We welcome all participants with special needs. In some cases a guardian may need to be present at all times. There is a $15 supply fee due to the instructor the first day of class. No class 5/27. This class will lay the foundations to explore drawing with the magic of charcoal. It will include, but is not limited to, exploration in figure and landscape. SUPER-STORYTELLERS
Ms. Walker leads students in shaping their own fictional stories through writing and basic forms of art such as painting and drawing. Through art, games and crafts, students learn the basics of fictional writing and illustrating. All student work will be presented in the “End of the Week Story Time” for parents. There is a $10 supply fee due to the instructor the first day of class. Students should be comfortable reading and writing at a basic level.
