With a generous gift, the directors of Prickett, Jones & Elliott endowed the William J. Prickett Corporate & Business Law Scholarship and the William J. Prickett Jr. Corporate Law Award. The scholarship and prize honor William Prickett Jr. (front left), a longtime Delaware attorney, former Widener Law Overseer, and father of William L. Prickett ’89 (front right). Nathan E. Barnett ’13 (rear center) received the inaugural William J. Prickett Jr. Corporate Law Award. They are pictured here with members of the Prickett and Barnett families, Dean Linda Ammons, President James T. Harris III, and Michael Hanrahan of Prickett, Jones & Elliott.
Working together, the Delaware and Harrisburg classes of 2013 raised the largest class gift in the law school’s history. The Alumni Association generously matched the gift on a four-to-one basis. In 2012–2013, Widener Law's endowment reached $32.5 million.
