St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering research and treatment of children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases. As a part of the MLS W.O.R.K.S. Soccer Kicks Cancer campaign, Chicago Fire captain Logan Pause serves as one of four MLS ambassadors. St. Jude also had a presence at the September 14th Chicago Fire vs. New England Revolution game. A St. Jude patient was recognized on field and led both teams and the referees onto the field before kickoff!
Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago The Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is Illinois’ only freestanding hospital exclusively for kids. Ranked #1 in almost every major pediatric specialty, they provide superior pediatric healthcare in a compassionate, family-centered environment. Along with the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, the Chicago Fire Foundation is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of children and continues to support the hospital through contributions and visits. On November 1st, Fire Defenders Austin Berry and Gonzalo Segares and Midfielder Daniel Paladini joined Sparky and members of the front office at the Champions for Children’s dinner to benefit Lurie Children’s Hospital.

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality for life of patients and their families. LLS has dedicated itself to being one of the top-rated voluntary health agencies in terms of dollars that directly fund their mission. In 2013, the Chicago Fire Foundation once again partnered with LLS for their “Soccer Kicks Cancer” program. Youth soccer players solicited pledges for every time the player touched a soccer ball over a ten-day period, with the goal of 2,000 touches. In support of LLS’ great cause and their alignment with the values of the Foundation, donated over $10,000!
