Other Notable Outdoor Living Elements 1) Windows & Doors: We chose Jeld Wen brand windows, which are available at the Muhler Company, in order to take advantage of all the great views of the outdoor living spaces. The Muhler Company (843) 572-9727 2) Hardscapes: The Idea House is a veritable showcase for assorted types of hardscape materials. Four different styles of pavers were used for the driveway, porte cochere, covered terrace, and pool deck. Oyster shell tabby was used to create a concrete walkway in the front of the Idea House and in the stucco on the foundation walls. Bluestone was used to cap off the top of a retention wall and the swimming pool waterfalls. Brick was used on a single wall in the porte cochere as a design element. 3) Mosquito Misting System: In order to enjoy all the outdoor living space on the ground floor, a series of misting nozzles and tubing were installed around the perimeter of the back yard. The nozzles are strategically placed where mosquitoes tend to congregate, and yet are inconspicuous to the eye. Palmetto Mosquito Control (843) 766-9701 4) Retractable Screens: Large screen panels that rise up and lower with a remote control were installed by Modern Screen Solutions on the small porch off the master bedroom. When raised, the screens provide unobstructed views of the marsh and Ashley River. Modern Screen Solutions (843) 278-4963
