ost years, the Charleston Home + Design Show starts off with a bang on Friday evening with the ever-popular Kitchens, Baths, + All That Jazz party. This year, however, the party started a little earlier for patrons.... In response to the current recession, we opted to offer more value to home show guests with special deals, discounts, and exhibits. Kicking off the entire weekend was Free Friday —everyone who came to the show during regular show hours on Friday got in, you guessed it, absolutely free. Following a huge turnout and an equally busy Friday night party, the buzz continued throughout the weekend as guests picked up free
review coupon books with vendor discounts and two day passes (for one admission price!), garnered free design advice from ASID interior designers, attended free home-oriented seminars, perused the six Celebrity/Designer Idea Rooms, and even got free book signings from acclaimed authors. Held January 29-31 at the Gaillard Auditorium downtown, this year's show was filled with dynamic exhibits and graced by homeowners full of hope for the promise of the new year.
