Charter school business and operations professionals face enormous challenges, especially in the current fiscal climate, and during each stage of their charters. Struggles related to financial planning, managing to budget and achieving financial and operational efficiencies in alignment with mission will be discussed by a panel including a CFO of a network, a Director of Finance & Human Resources of a school that recently replicated and specialists who have helped hundreds of schools around the country. They will share how challenges were overcome as well as provide guidance on attendees’ questions. Blended learning is a powerful teaching and learning model that can significantly improve outcomes for students with special needs. During this presentation, attendees will hear from industry experts and charter school leaders on the benefits of this model for special education and the planning, technology and support considerations needed to implement it in their charter school.
In light of the ongoing tension over the future of charter schools in many communities, there are huge opportunities to organize community support and parents to improve education for all children. Co-ops, risk sharing insurance models, cohort trainings and CMO/EMO offerings - the methods vary. This session, led by experts in the field, will be an interactive exploration of options and viable approaches.
