COASTAL CAROLINA ATHLETICS ... DEVELOPING CHAMPIONS FOR LIFE

Under first-year head coach Joe Moglia, Coastal Carolina won its final five regular season games to secure the 10-year-old program’s fifth Big South Championship and earned the league’s automatic berth to the NCAA Division I Football Championship. Coastal went on the road to face #22 Bethune-Cookman in the first round and upset the Wildcats 24-14 to win the program’s first playoff game after two previous attempts. The Chanticleers ended the year ranked 24th, and it was the first time since 2006 that the program finished ranked in the national polls.
