ABBY BISHOP SENIOR - SPRINTS/JUMPS HANCOCK, MASSACHUSETTS
Abby earned Division III All-New England honors in the heptathlon for the third straight outdoor season last year as she placed third. She was sixth as a freshman and fourth as a sophomore in the event. Bishop also earned All-ECAC honor with a sixth place finish in the heptathlon outdoors last year. During the indoor season, she earned All-New England honors with a fifth place finish in the pentathlon. She earned All-New England honors during the 2012 indoor season in the heptathlon with an eighth place finish. Abby is a Mechanical Engineering major and also a member of the rugby club team. BEFORE CGA Captain and team MVP for coach Brian Gill at Mt. Greylock Regional High where she also ran cross country ... she is the first student from her high school to attend a military academy ... has an older brother Zachary and a younger brother Nathan ... son of Edward and Patricia Bishop. GETTING TO KNOW ABBY Her favorite food is ice cream and her favorite snack is swedish fish. Abby’s favorite is Friday Night Lights while her favorite actress is Catherine Zeta-Jones. Her favorite TV show is Hell’s Kitchen and her most used app on her phone is Candy Crush. If she could meet anyone living or deceased it would be Elvis Presley.

JUNIOR - DISTANCE ONEONTA, N.Y. Beth earned All-New England honors with a third place finish in the 3,000 steeplechase during the outdoor season last year and earned a berth to the NCAA Championships. She was part of a pair of relay teams, the distance medley (5th place) and the 4x800 (5th place) that earned All-New England honors during the indoor season last year. Gollin is also a member of the cross country team and earned All-conference honors for the second time in her career with an 8th place finish this fall and would go on to place 35th earning All-New England honors for the first time. A Civil Engineering major, she earned Division III All-Academic honors from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFFCCA) last season and has been on the Dean’s List every semester at the Academy. BEFORE CGA Captain and state qualifier both indoor and outdoor for coaches David Forbes and Brady Carter at Oneonta High ... also a state qualifier as a member of the cross country team ... had two brothers, Joe and Ben ... daughter of George and Christine Gollin. GETTING TO KNOW BETH Her favorite snack food are pretzels and her favorite TV shows are NCIS and Big Bang Theory.
