Soccer report A convincing win against Cowra Public last Tuesday, saw Mulyan boys progress to the next round at the Gala Day in Orange on Friday, with two crucial team members heading overseas, the Mulyan team travelled with only one sub. Our first game was against Orange Small Schools Association. A strong first half ended with MPS leading 4-2, 3 goals to Zach Perkins and one to Sam Dun. A quick goal from OSSA had the MPS support crew on the edge of their seats but the boys kept their cool and maintained the lead to finish 4-3. This brought us up against a speedy Calare, In what was a very physical game, our boys kept their cool and despite going down 1-3 they never gave up and showed true sportsmanship. The round 3 loss pitched us against Kelso. With an injury from the previous game we were left with no subs and the boys’ legs were really starting to feel it! Despite this we went on to win the game 5-3, with 3 goals to Sam Dun, 1 to Zach Perkins and 1 to Clayton Hayes. Coach Trish Dun was reluctant to pick a player of the day, instead commenting that every player tried their hardest and made important contributions throughout all games. Many thanks to the parents who provided transport to Orange and cheered the team on, and a big thank you to Mrs Trish Dun for coaching the team. The team members were: Bailey Callaghan, Darcy Callaghan, Pat Dun, Sam Dun, Clayton Hayes, Leo Keefe, Bobby Jeffries, Jay Link, Cooper Melhuish, Zach Perkins, Lawson Spratt, Kayne Veney and Rohan Wilson. Well done boys! Gina Baratto
