The end of the year is finally here, and things are wrapping up at CCHS! Volleyball tryouts will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18. The Civitan Club Scholarship application is available in the Guidance Office. Any senior may apply; if a student has any questions, see Ms. Goff. Seniors Awards Night will be held at 6:30 p.m. on May 14. Seniors: You must clean your locker out by lunch on Thursday. Congratulations to the Academic Decathlon team! CCHS placed 8th in the Medium School category in the Academic Decathlon National Online Competition. In the Honors Category, Lydia Creech won a gold medal in music, a gold medal in language & literature, a silver medal in super quiz, and a silver medal in art. In the Scholastic Category, Brandon Macario won a silver medal in art, and Sunny Lloyd won a silver medal in super quiz. In the Varsity Category, Daniel Busby won a gold medal in super quiz. By Melinda Carroll Career Day last Friday was a huge success at Jacks Creek Elementary School. The Academic Decathlon team would like to thank Lisa Hames and Susan Humphry for proctoring the competition tests this year and to Freed-Hardeman University for the use of one of their computer labs. I would like to thank the Chester County Independent newspaper for allowing me to write for the paper for the past two years. I would also like to thank Chester County High School. These past four years have been an amazing ride. And finally, to seniors: We did it!

Other displays included the Chester County Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services, Hart Realty , National Guard, Jackson-General Hospital, the Chester County Library, the Chester County Solid Waste Department, Usborne Books and More, Chester County Rescue Squad, and C&S Transport.

P.E daily from 8 a.m. to noon; go home early; have inflatable jumpers every Friday; eat whenever we are hungry; run in the hallways; bring our pets to school; sing hiphop; and ride horses on the playground. It sounds like we are going to have some creative future leaders in our school system! Kindergarten graduation is Friday at 1 p.m. in our school gym. Awards Day for first through third grades is Monday at 1 p.m. Field Day is on Tuesday. We invite all of our family, friends, and neighbors to attend. Third-graders in Melinda Carroll’s classroom are becoming experts about Tennessee. They are presenting their projects to classmates this week. Thanks to the Chester County Education Association for the delicious doughnuts on Teacher Appreciation Day. We are shining to the end of school at Jacks Creek Elementary School!
