The names of over 1,900 men and five women associated with the Canterbury District who enlisted in World War I, for service with the Australian Naval and Military Expeditionary Force, which took over the German Colonies of Rabaul and German New Guinea in 1914, at Gallipoli in 1915, on the Western Front in France and Belguim in 1916-1918, with the Light Horse against the Turks in Palestine and the Middle East 1916-1918, in the Australian Flying Corps and in the Royal Australian Navy. This book is the result of twelve years research.
