each year are the wonderful planters which adorn Main Street and the balance of the downtown core. The unsung hero of the planter project – twenty years ago when the first planters were erected, every year since and throughout this growing season is Paul Pedersen. Though he’s likely too humble to admit it, the local florist and life-long green thumb is estimated to volunteer at least 15 hours of time weekly to tend to the ninety planters strategically placed in City Center Camrose. Notes fellow C.C.C. business owner Audrey Pfanmuller, "Paul is very much the key to the success of this project. He does everything: ordering the flowers we plant each spring, making decisions on color coordination, constantly being on the lookout for weeds, checking and changing the soil and inspiring us to help in small ways. We count on Paul. Without his effort and dedication to the planters we’d be in really big trouble! The reality is we’d have to hire someone to do the work he now does out of the goodness of his heart and his love of Camrose." On behalf of the community and the visitors who come to our City, The Camrose Booster takes this opportunity to publicly thank Paul Pedersen (and his team of volunteers) for continuing to make Camrose, Simply Irresistible!
