Quality and affordability As a proud member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, Cal U offers students a private-school experience at a public-school price. A vast array of grants, loans, scholarships and work-study programs are available from federal, state and University sources. Financial aid is based on a variety of factors, including academic achievement and financial need. Our Financial Aid Office can help you through the process.

Courses that become you Cal U offers more than 150 programs of study in three undergraduate colleges, as well as 50 graduate programs. There is an academic program that is perfect for you, and a proven method to help you graduate in four years. Small town near a big city Located on the banks of the Monongahela River just 35 miles from downtown Pittsburgh, Cal U offers students a beautiful, safe learning environment. Our 98-acre main campus is the focus of academic life, while our 196-acre south campus features athletic fields and picnic areas, as well as student housing. The scenic Pennsylvania countryside is ideal for hiking, biking, rafting, skiing or horseback riding. Big name retail CLUBS AND stores are just minutes ORGANIZATIONS away — and so are Including 16 NCAA numerous antique shops Division II Teams and specialty stores. The city of Pittsburgh not only offers diverse cultural experiences, professional sporting events and lively restaurants, but also serves as a vital connection to internships and a dynamic business community.

I chose Cal because it was a perfect fit for me. There is a lot to do around campus, and it’s easy to get involved. My classes are challenging and there are plenty of people who care about me and my success. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else.

Cal U’s faculty includes nearly 300 full-time professors — more than 80 percent of them have Ph.D.s or the highest degree in their field. They are Fulbright scholars, recipients of prestigious grants, presenters at national and international conferences, and acclaimed experts in their fields. But, at the end of the day, their main reason for coming to work is to pursue their passion to teach, to motivate and to inspire students. With a student/faculty ratio of 19:1, their hands-on approach will change the way you think about learning.

Cal U’s student housing is among the best in the nation. 7,419 undergraduate Students come from students and 1,981 all 50 states, D.C. graduate students and 36 different countries. Our six coed residence halls offer smoke-free housing for 1,496 students on the main campus. Vulcan Village, our garden-style apartment complex on the south campus, accommodates 768 students. All units feature air conditioning, carpeting, free local telephone service, cable TV and high-speed Internet. Most students share a bathroom with only one other person and never more than three others.

High-tech facilities Cal U is growing — with new buildings that enhance your overall experience. Duda Hall and the Eberly Science and Technology Center are among the buildings that offer high-tech classrooms and a student-friendly environment. Learn volumes at the Manderino Library, including how to access electronic books and find credible material on the Internet. Enjoy a performance at Steele Hall Mainstage Theatre, one of the finest theater facilities in the state of Pennsylvania.
