CCA is committed to providing students with opportunities to gain valuable experience. Through our partner organizations and firms, we offer internships, sponsored studios, opportunities to connect with industry leaders, and ENGAGE courses, where students work on real issues in the real world.

INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE STUDIO, YOU’LL GET REAL-LIFE EXPERIENCES

TAKE A CLOSER LOOK AT CALIFORNIA COLLEGE of the ARTS

When two CCA alumni opened Atelier Dion, a custom ceramic fabrication and production studio, their vision was to build close relationships with their clients through a commitment to craftsmanship and local manufacturing. Two years later, their housewares and custom design business has taken off. And they regularly hire CCA students as interns, teaching them how to turn a love of craft into a sustainable business.

IT’S ALL IN THE FAMILY

Evan Litvak (Interaction Design 2014) started out as a Ceramics major, then took one Interaction Design course and got hooked. By his junior year, he was scouted by Facebook for an exciting internship opportunity. During the 12-week internship, he worked on Facebook Home, a product that customizes the lock screen on Android phones to stream content from the user’s Facebook friends. By the end of the internship, Litvak had secured a job offer upon graduation.
