Students learn about salmon lifecycle and habitat while also having hands-on experience with internal and external fish anatomy. The health of local streams and rivers, such as nearby Walker-Miller Creek and the Duwamish/ Green River watershed, is also explored. Water Heroes Classroom presentation. Available throughout the school year Follow the Flow Grades K-2 Explores our water cycle, different properties of water, and the importance of watershed health and water quality. Where Does it Go? Grades 3-12 Examines human-made modifications to the watershed system and differences between a sewer and storm drain. Students learn to identify detrimental effects of street run-off and identify actions to reduce pollutants entering storm drains. Donations Welcome ESC provides thousands of students the opportunity to enrich their learning through hands-on field studies.
