ASSISTANT COACHES

Frank Williams Defensive Line

Frank Williams returned to Bloomsburg in 2013 after 31 seasons previously as a member of the Bloomsburg coaching staff, serving under five head coaches. Joining the Huskies in 1976, he spent the 1981 season at Bucknell, before returning to Bloomsburg upon George Landis' arrival in 1982. Williams attended Kutztown where he was an All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference selection and is a member of that university's Athletic Hall of Fame.

Tony Ianiero Running Backs

Gary Gilchrest

Strength & Conditioning Gary Gilchrest begins his second season as an assistant with the Huskies in 2014. Gilchrest assists with strength and conditioning and works on defense with the linebackers. He also handles game day operations. Gilchrest is a 1995 graduate of Bloomsburg University, earning his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He returned in 1996 to enter the IIT program. Gilchrest finished with his Masters of Science in Instructional Technologies in 1998. Playing both inside and outside linebacker for the Huskies, Gilchrest was a three-year starter under Pete Adrien. He was coached by the late John S. Devlin while playing for Danny Hale his senior season at Bloomsburg.

Maurice Daly Tony Ianiero returns to the Huskies coaching staff in 2014 as the team’s running backs coach. Ianiero last coached the running backs in 2011 for the Huskies and returns this year to guide them after serving as Vice President for University Advancement at Bloomsburg.

Ianiero previously coached at Bloomsburg from 1987 – 89 serving as outside linebacker coach under Pete Adrian. Previous to Bloomsburg University Ianiero spent 10 years as an assistant coach at the College of New Jersey, the last seven as defensive coordinator. A graduate of The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College) Ianiero has both a Bachelor’s degree in History and a Master’s degree in Student Personnel Services. He lettered four years in football and baseball and was inducted into the College’s Hall of Fame as a player and a coach in 1999.

Player Mentor

Maurice Daly begins his 15th season with the Huskies in 2014 serving as a player mentor. Daly is responsible for providing athletic and academic guidance and support to the team. Daly attended Queen's College in 1972 and is enjoying his retirement from Geisinger Medical Center.

Daly resides in Sunbury with his wife Toni and his son Maurice III who is currently a student at Liberty University. He also has two daughters Allison and Andrea, both alumni of Bloomsburg University. Daly is a proud grandfather of two, Jeremiah and Maya.

Recently retired as President from the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education Foundation in Harrisburg, Ianiero is married to Pam and has three grown children, Jennifer, Kristin and Joseph, all graduates of Bloomsburg University. 2014 Huskies Football
