BOISE STATE TENURE (2012-present) Alisha Young returns to her alma mater as she enters her first season as an assistant coach on the Boise State staff. Young’s responsibilities in addition to coaching include: train the middle blockers during practice, heading up the video program, assist with the day-to-day operations, and the teams’ outreach/community service activities, clinics, tournaments and camps.

PRIOR COACHING EXPERIENCE Following graduation from Boise State in the summer of 2011, Young spent the fall 2011 semester as a volunteer assistant coach for the Boise State program.

BOISE STATE COLLEGIATE PLAYING CAREER Young was a standout for the Broncos competing from 2007 through 2010. During her career she was a all-conference and academic allconference honoree. The native of American Fork, Utah, finished her career ranked second in career points with 1,271.5 and ninth in kills with 1,055. Young’s senior campaign (2010) was an outstanding one as she recorded several Boise State top-10 performances for a season, including setting the school record for points in a season with 524.5. Her other top-10 marks were the second-best hitting percentage in program history at 33.9 percent, 10th-best year for blocks with 140 and fourth most kills with 414.

PERSONAL She graduated with a bachelors degree in health science. The former Alisha King is married to former Boise State basketball player Tyler Young.
