You will learn the skill of officiating through clinics and evaluations and gain essential skills including active listening, teamwork, confidence and assertiveness. All officials will be rated based on previous experience, certification and other criteria. You can increase your rating during the season by working to improve your skills. 8 In-class and Practical Pay rates for officials $10.25-$13.50/hour. Payment occurs at the end of the sport league. Rating criteria for officials (as determined by the Intramural Coordinator) 1. Knowledge of the sport, including “Brock” modifications 2. Reliability 3. Positioning 4. Certification 5. Attendance at Clinics 6. Experience Brophy Cup In early November 2010, a group of Brock alumni founded the Brophy Cup in memory of Conor Brophy, a former Brock student who enjoyed playing intramural Slowpitch and left his fellow teammates with many great memories of their time together. Tragically, Brophy passed away in March 2010. The Brophy Cup is awarded to the intramural Slowpitch B championship team annually. Congratulations to The Royals, the 2013 Brophy Cup winners!
