Students exhibit art at Lynn House The Arts & Cultural Foundation of Antioch will host the fourth annual Art4Schools Student Art Exhibit at the Rivertown District’s Lynn House Gallery beginning in March. The Art4Schools program is sponsored by a Keller Canyon Mitigation Grant provided by the City of Antioch and Contra Costa County District V Supervisor Federal Glover. This year’s exhibit, Cultivating Young Talent 2009, showcases artworks from eight schools. The first exhibit features student works from Antioch, Deer

Valley and Dozier Libby high schools. The high school exhibit runs from March 18 to 28 and features a free reception on the 18th from 4-7 p.m. Additional schools will be showcasing their works through May 9. Concert vendors sought The City of Brentwood is seeking five vendors interested in selling food and beverage items at the Starry Nights in Brentwood Summer Concert Series in City Park. The city is selecting three food, one coffee/dessert, and one beverage vendor for the entire series. The vendor must be able to commit to all nine dates in the series: June 12, June 19, June 26, July 17, July 31, and Aug. 7, all from 6 to 9 p.m. Certain requirements must be met for an establishment to be selected for the event, including but not limited to:

general liability insurance, proof of auto insurance, worker’s compensation insurance, a valid City of Brentwood business license, a temporary food permit, and a flat fee paid to the City of Brentwood of $270 ($45 per concert). Applications are available at the Parks and Recreation office, 730 Third St., or by phone at 925-516-5309 (for those wishing to receive an application by mail). Applications are due on or before April 17 at 5 p.m. Late applications will not be accepted.
