Related Exhibits at Booth Library Additional exhibits were developed locally to explore topics related to the traveling exhibit. Eastern Illinois University scholars have collaborated with Bev Cruse, who assisted them as graphic designer and oversaw the production of each display. Broomcorn in Coles County For nearly a century, 1858 through 1951, broomcorn was of major economic importance to Coles County and is associated with the early settlement of the area.
