The bulls on offer this year are very long, thick, quiet, good haired bulls and uniform throughout the entire pen. From top to bottom they are the most uniform group of bulls I’ve offered to date. The red bulls, as always, are as good as you will find anywhere. The fullblood bulls are thick, easy doing bulls that will add quality and weight to your calf crop. The black bulls are the best I have ever produced. In the last two or three years I’ve purchase the best black bulls I could find. 543C is a very complete bull. He’s long, thick, good haired and started at only 80 lbs. Sired by Red Chief, a Wet Dream son, who has really impressed me with his moderate birthweight calves that develop into long, thick bodied bulls and mothered by an 8L daughter this is what to expect, as both Red Chief and Right On 8L had calving ease and explosive performance. Wet Dream, his grandsire, is the best bull I’ve ever owned. He is a breed changer, siring low birthweight, long, thick calves with style to burn and heavy 205 and 365 day weights. If a higher profile breeder owned him, he’d be a legacy and everyone would want a piece of him. Since I purchased him, his calves have always started my sale. Further proof is what the Wet Dream daughter is doing at Lewis Farms. Go to Lot 203 in their catalogue. You often read, this is one of the best bulls I’ve ever raised or this might be the best bull I’ve ever raised. Well, no mights, ifs or buts about it, this is the “best bull I’ve ever raised” and there have been many good ones. Several have gone to purebred breeders and many to front end, very astute commercial cattlemen. 552C, a Red Chief son, is as good as you can make a bull. He is moderate framed, extremely wide topped, has tremendous spring of rib, is very deep bodied, has a huge hip, a deep, full hindquarter, is clean fronted with a nice small head, great neck extension, square in his stance and has style to burn. He moves out free and easy and is very docile. One bull always seems to rise to the top even amongst many very good bulls and Westgold Passport 552C has sure done it this year.

Wow is the first word most visitors say when they spot this bull in the pen and he is interesting. You will have a real hard time to find a bull this stout with such a low birthweight and explosive performance. Very interesting in that he is a combination of my two red heifer bulls. His dam is a gorgeous dark red, good uddered, deep bodied young cow who will go into the donor pen. His sire is a thick, very correct bull that sires quality, low birthweight calves that develop into quality cattle and his females are keepers.
