All proceeds go to the Logan Chalack

Donation Lots A - K Dear Cattle Friends, On one hand, this is a hard forward to write. As I’m sure you are well aware of by now, our friend, Logan Chalack, was diagnosed with Cancer in December. New wife. New baby. New barn. Lots of things come to mind as to why this isn’t fair, why this sucks, but as too many of us know, this disease doesn’t take those things into consideration. On the other hand, it is easy to tell you about how Logan, with the strong support of his family and friends, it taking on this battle like we would all expect him to … with courage and determination. He has a long road of treatment ahead of him, but make no mistake, he is going to kick this thing in the ass! All of the money raised from the donation auction will go to Logan and his family, and will allow him to keep his focus on where it needs to be … on getting healthy. On behalf of Logan’s family and friends, thank you to everyone for your support. You know it is appreciated.

5 doses of HF Kodiak 5R

Kodiak has established himself as one of the leading sires in the Angus industry today…he is a proven herd sire that consistently produces the cow man’s kind and does so without sacrificing phenotype and eye appeal. Kodiak sold for $45,000 for ½ interest and his progeny have consistently topped sales as recently as Feb 19, 2015, where a Kodiak grandson went through the sale ring at Krebs Ranch, NE for $120,000. Many progeny have sold with hi-lites being HF Tiger 5T for $52,000 for ½ interest, HF El Tigre 28U for $82,500.00 for ½ interest and HF Erica 26T for $20,000. His progeny still demand a premium. At the 2009 World Angus Forum, Kodiak was awarded “Premier Sire” of the show and his son HF Tiger 5T was the Grand Champion Bull. Yet another accomplishment was when the Grand Champion Pen of Bulls at the National Western Stock Show 2010 in Denver was won with Kodiak sired bulls. Cows bred to Kodiak typically calve 5 to 10 days early, have low birth weights and wean heavy. His daughters have awesome udders with tight attachment, small teats and longevity to burn. There is a reason Kodiak is so popular today.

Rebel was the record breaking high selling bull in our 2012 sale going to Stevenson, TC and Greens for $95,000 for 2/3 interest. He is powerful with unmatched body length, overall thickness and structural correctness. Rebel’s dam is an unassuming, correct made female with a beautiful udder and perfect feet. Rebel was our lead off bull in the NWSS 2014 Reserve Champion Early Bull Calf Pen of Three! Rebel daughters have done an outstanding job for us and we look forward to raising many more. Welcome to March Madness

Quality from leading programs We are excited to present the March Madness Online Sale. This sale evolved in the summer of 2015 when we were discussing an opportunity to market frozen genetics through an online only format that didn’t conflict with our industry leading New Year’s Resolution Frozen Genetics Sale. This exciting offering of rare and sought after semen with first class embryos is sure to cause a stir as we have many of the very best genetics in the livestock industry on offer. If you do not feel comfortable bidding in the horse race style finish, please call any of the Bohrson Marketing team and we would be happy to represent your buying needs in a professional and confidential manner. Logan Chalack along with his wife Charity and daughter Chloe have been put through a difficult situation after Logan was diagnosed with cancer in December 2015. We are there for you Logan as fellow cattleman and close friends. We want to acknowledge the close friends that donated semen and embryos in “Donation Lots A - K” that go towards the Chalack family to assist with added expenses they will face with Logan’s road to recovery. We are praying for you Logan and know that with your strong determination you will beat this. While building the catalog we were approached by numerous consignors in the March Madness section and they have decided they want to donate 2.5% of the proceeds from Lots 1-44 to the Chalack family as well. We are in a business surrounded by great people that stick together in a time of need and we are humbled by their generosity. Sincerely, The Bohrson Marketing team

On top of the generous donations to the chalack family in Lots a-K, the March Madness consignors wish to donate 2.5% to them as well in their lots from Lot 1-44.

A moderate framed cow with a flawless udder, and body type everyone desires. A full sib to these embryos’, HF Echo 212B, sold in the Masterpiece sale to Wild West Angus, Altona, MB, for $16,500. Arguably, our top bred heifer in herd, is a daughter of 45Y. WK Smooth 2382 was the high selling bull in the Krebs Ranch 2013 sale for $55,000. Smooth and his progeny are exactly that…very nicely blended together in a well-balanced “smooth” package. He has been awesome calving heifers, but he has also sired some of the top performing bulls in our sale. We have used Smooth extensively both for the injection of an outcross pedigree and positive merit of his exceptional make up and type. Some of our very top bulls and heifers on offer are Smooth progeny. This summer Garth Cutler selected her Gotham heifer calf as his pick of our 2015 born heifer calves which he purchased in the fall of 2014. Harvie Ms Pepsi 262Z

SHS Enticer P1B x JDF Pepsi 61U

Lot 41A 4 TNGL Grand Fortune Z467 x Harvie Ms Pepsi 262Z embryos A rare opportunity! This is the very first time that we have offered embryos from the ‘Pepsi’ cow family. Pepsi 262Z was CWA Res Jr. Champion female as a bred heifer and has developed into a beautiful top producing female. She has proven herself quickly, with her natural calf being the feature black bull in the 7th Annual Harvie Ranching Bull Sale. Grand Fortune is an exciting AI sire that we used last year after seeing him in Denver for the past 2 years, where he was Champion bull and Res Champion bull back to back. Our first Grand Fortune calves are hitting the ground running and WOW are they explosive with muscle, hair and style. These calves will be homo black/polled by parentage.
