A Good Bet Unicorn Children’s Foundation Announces Third Annual Denim, Diamonds And Dice Casino Night

nicorn Children’s Foundation’s spring fundraiser, “Denim, Diamonds and Dice Casino Night,” is scheduled to take place May 7th at the Broken Sound Club in Boca Raton. The evening will be hosted by event chairs Dr. Rafael and Lori Cabrera. Guests can anticipate a rousing evening of gaming reminiscent of Las Vegas, with blackjack, poker, craps, and roulette. Proceeds from the evening will aid in the development and creation of a unique high school for special needs children ages 14-22 that fos-

ters social, emotional and academic student development in a safe and dignified environment. Incorporating an individualized, strength- and interest-based educational model, this program will help students achieve their own educational, personal and career goals. Unicorn Children’s Foundation is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to children and young adults with developmental, communication and learning disorders so that they have every opportunity to lead productive and fulfilling lives through the support of education, awareness, and research initiatives. It was founded in 1994 by Mark Rosenbloom, M.D. after his 3-year-old son was diagnosed with a severe communication disorder. Unicorn Children’s Foundation uses education, awareness and research to promote early identification of disorders; develops and disseminates worldwide groundbreaking and extensive evaluation and treatment guidelines; fosters communication and collaboration between parents, professionals and policymakers to promote learning and increased awareness; and provides adequate tools and resources to better meet the needs of beneficiaries.
