Dear Premier Club Members,

Names to Know at the Club

We’re edging toward the unofficial beginning of summer. While our population may dwindle a bit, opportunities for enjoyment will remain just as numerous as ever! We have lots of great activities scheduled for the merry month of May and throughout the summer, as we continue to celebrate the Club’s 90th anniversary. First and foremost – Happy Mother’s Day! As usual, we’ve got lots of great brunch options as well as a special Mother’s Day dinner at Lucca, so you can reserve the perfect table for the Mom(s) in your life. That same weekend is our eagerly anticipated Lobsterbash, featuring an internationally acclaimed ABBA tribute band. We’re also paying tribute to disco fever in May, with two big events on May 20 and 21. Among other big stars, we’ll have original Studio 54 DJs on hand Friday night, and Sister Sledge and Tavares will be in the house on Saturday night. If you want to dance the night away with a group of friends, you can reserve a VIP table that includes a “Meet & Greet” with the performers. Then we usher in the summer season with our most eventful Memorial Day weekend ever. We’re well underway with the renovation of our golf course, but never fear: golfing (and dining) continues apace at Boca Country Club! The younger golfers in our midst can enjoy even more tee time by enrolling in this summer’s Kellie Stenzel Junior Golf Camp. All of our summer camps — golf, tennis, and the popular Quest Club — begin in early June, so you’ll want to enroll now to make sure your kids are all set up. We have other exciting events on the docket for the summer months, including Father’s Day and Independence Day celebrations. We hope to see many of you during the long summer days to come!

Say Hello to Palm Court Restaurant Manager Bobby Ganesh Bobby Ganesh understands that success in the restaurant business is about much more than serving great food. Bobby is passionate about directly connecting with Members and

guests and helping them create wonderful memories that will make a lasting impact. His career in the hospitality industry began in New Jersey, when he landed a job as a dishwasher at South City Grill, a fine dining seafood restaurant. Since then, he has earned a degree in business management and restaurant management from the French Culinary Institute and racked up 12 years of experience. Most recently, Bobby worked as the restaurant and bar manager at Oceans 234 Restaurant in Deerfield Beach.

Loving those Leagues The Resort & Club is represented by a number of teams competing in various leagues around the county. For information on how you can get in on the action, stop by the Tennis Pro Shop or call 447-3939 (Resort teams) or 447-3875 (Country Club teams). On the Resort courts The Men’s Senior Team (Captains Len Kritzer and Howie Weinstein) finished in first place in countywide competition. The Ladies’ Senior Team (Captain Ricki Rose) finished in first place in South Palm Beach County’s Division 5. The East Coast Ladies’ League (Captains Jill Dwoskin and Wendy Cohn) was in first place as Boca Club Life went to print with two matches to go. On the Country Club courts The Senior One (Captain Carol Raworth) and Senior Three (Captain Donna Jendlin) Teams completed their winter segment with their usual highly competitive finishes. Division 5 Team (Captains Bonnie Zeiger and Carol Smokler) moved up a division and has proved equal to the challenge, recently downing Boynton 12-1. Division 2B Team was in the thick of the hunt as we went to print, with recent wins over Woodfield, Oaks and Mission Bay. Both Claymates Teams – the Princess Division (Captain Katie Herrel) and Queen Division (Captain Carol Mielz) – wrapped up winter play in a highly competitive league. The Princess Division Team will continue playing through the spring season.
