Brief Calculus 3 0 3 This course is designed for students needing only one semester of calculus. Topics include functions, graphing, differentiation, and integration with emphasis on applications drawn from business, economics, and biological and behavioral sciences. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the use of basic calculus and technology to solve problems and to analyze and communicate results. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement general education core requirement in natural sciences/mathematics. Prerequisites:

Brief Calculus Lab 0 2 1 This course is a laboratory for MAT 263. Emphasis is placed on experiences that enhance the materials presented in the class. Upon completion, students should be able to solve problems, apply critical thinking, work in teams, and communicate effectively. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement premajor and/or course requirement. Corequisites:

Calculus I 3 2 4 This course covers in depth the differential calculus portion of a threecourse calculus sequence. Topics include limits, continuity, derivatives, and integrals of algebraic and transcendental functions of one variable, with applications. Upon completion, students should be able to apply differentiation and integration techniques to algebraic and transcendental functions.
