“Truckers’ livelihoods depend on the prices of fuel. I was explaining to one trucker that we traveled a good 600 miles, 13-14 hours, on one tank and he replied,‘Yeah, if you’re not getting good gas mileage, you’re working for free.’” “We were like our state’s ambassadors on this trip,” Kazal said. “It made us feel really good that we’re from a university that is leading the way in finding alternative energy through the Sustainable Energy Research Center.
