small forward who can really, really play. Their leading scorer and rebounder, he’s kind of a do-all guy. He can shoot from the perimeter, shoots the three, can create off the bounce and is a great offensive rebounder. They’ve got a couple high-level transfers in there. Will Brown is a player I’m familiar with because my teams have played against him when I was at New Mexico and UTEP. He’s big, a 6-foot-9, 250-pound, power forward center who can play inside and out. Then, they’ve got another big kid, who is 6-foot-9 and almost 300 pounds, who plays center after transferring in there. They are going to have some really good size, and they are a team who came off a very successful season. So, they’re going to come in here expecting to win the game. We’re prepared. the flow of the season. The new guys are really coming along. Willie has really been practicing well. You know what happens when you are new, and you learn so much for the first time. You start to think too much, then you get paralyzed. Then, you can’t do what you really do well and for Willie that’s rebounding and blocking shots and since the Victory game he’s really been dong well. It’s good to see Bernard (Morena) back on the floor in practice. He got to play a little bit the other night, so its good to get him back. I know these guys are anxious to get the regular season started." LAST TIME OUT Auburn 83, Victory University 47 (Nov. 5, 2011, in Auburn, Ala.) Frankie Sullivan and Chris Denson scored 16 points apiece to lead Auburn to an 83-47 blowout of Victory University in Auburn Arena in the Tigers’ second and final exhibition game. Kenny Gabriel added 10 points and 9 rebounds, Allen Payne 10 points and freshman Willy Kouassi 8 points and 8 boards. his size and his skills, a 6-foot-7 guard who can handle it, who can shoot it, who can pass it, he is a matchup nightmare for teams. He is a big-time shooter. facility, but also opens on the outside of the arena for multiple entertaining opportunities throughout the year. Loge box seating also is available as well as on-site food preparation. The seating configuration offers better sight lines and moves fans closer to the court. The furthest seat is just 43 feet in elevation from courtside, compared to 60 feet in elevation at Beard-Eaves, with two-thirds of the seats in Auburn Arena being less than 27 feet in elevation from courtside. The scoreboard features a highdefinition video board with full message/ information center technology. For the student fan amenities, there is a private entrance, a private courtside commons and food court and courtside seating that permits standing with unobstructed views. The new facility serves as more than a sports complex. With over 12,000 square feet of banquet/entertainment space, its design affords ready adaptation into a site for concerts, other cultural events, convocations and other community gatherings. On-campus student housing is adjacent to the new arena creating a unique "student village" experience.
