Deepawali festival is considered to be the most awaited occasion for all Indians. Deepawali gives us a message of cleaning our hearts, and houses so that we all living on this earth, may feel afresh to start a New work in New year. According to Indian calendar, the new year starts from Deepawali, that is why, most of the businessmen/professionals, still close books on this festival. I wish all very happy Deepawali. May Almighty bring more lights in lives of all of us so that entire world may live happily & peacefully. Deepawali is still a closing month of traditional businessmen. Most of the organizations still believe in closure of accounting books on Deepawali, perhaps because according to Hindu Mythology, the queen of wealth, Goddess Laxmi visits each house on earth and offers her blessings in the night of Deepawali. I wish Goddess Laxmi makes everyone happy. I pray for prosperity of all my colleagues, valuable clients, friends and relatives. With regards Truly yours Atul Malikram

The Ghazal King Jagjit Singh is no More "Jagjit Singh, the famous Ghazal singer died on 10th October 2011" was a shocking news for all of his fans. Jagjit Singh was best known for simplifying Ghazal singing and he concurred the hearts of millions of people across the world. Jagjit Singh was born on February 8, 1941 in Sriganganagar, Rajasthan, to Amar Singh Dhiman, a government employee, and Bachan Kaur. He had four sisters and two brothers and was called Jeet by his family.

He was raised as a Sikh by religion. His birth name was Jagmohan but his Sikh father rechristened him as Jagjit following the advice of his guru. It was Mr Singh's father, who first recognised his son's talent. He sent young Jagjit to learn the nuances of music under a blind teacher, Pandit Chhaganlal Sharma. He later trained under Ustad Jamal Khan of the Sainia Gharana for six-years and gained knowledge in Khayal, Thumri and Dhrupad forms. His debut album in 1976-The Unforgettable -did not make a hollow claim. Mr Singh made his mark with hits like Yeh zindagi kisi aur ki, Mere naam ka koi aur hai, Patta-patta boota-boota haal hamaara jaane hai, Hontho se chhoo lo tum, Tum ko dekha, Hazaar baar ruke ham and hazaar baar chale, at a time when ghazals were rendered by powerhouses like Mehdi Hasan, Noor Jehan, Beghum Akhtar and Talat Mehmood. One of the most successful and loved artistes of his time, he has left behind a huge body of work in a career

Love Your Irritations The things that drive you crazy are actually giant opportunities. The people who press your buttons are actually your greatest teachers. The things that make you angry are actually your greatest gifts. Bless them. The people or circumstances that take you out of your power have extraordinary value: They reveal your limiting beliefs, fears and false assumptions. How much would you pay someone who promised they could pinpoint exactly what is holding you back from your greatest life? How much would it be worth to get intimate information on why you are not exactly at the place where you've always dreamed of being? Here's the powerful idea: The things that irritate and annoy and anger you are entry points into your evolution and elevation as a human being. They are signposts for what you need to work on and the fears you need to face. They are gifts of growth. You can blame the people who trigger you and make it all about them. Or you can do the courageous thing and look deeply into yourself to discover the reason for your negative reaction. The fears you don't own become your prison bars. And as you begin to shed light on your personal weaknesses and take responsibility for them, you actually begin the process of shedding them. You become stronger. More powerful. More of who you were meant to be. So the next time a co-worker sets you off or the next time your teenager gets you going, walk over to them, give them a hug and thank them for the gift they just gave you. Because they did.

Among his most memorable numbers were Tum itna jo muskara rahe ho, Apni marzi se kahan apne safar ke hum hain and Pehle har cheez thi apni magar ab lagta hai apne hi ghar mein kisi doosre ghar ke hum hain. Critics often suggested he sacrificed technique for melody. It didn't matter to the thousands of fans that enabled the album to set sales records. Writer Khuswant Singh commented, "He sings better than Mehdi Hassan and looks better than Dilip Kumar." Mr Singh married Chitra Datta in 1970. She belonged to a musical family in Kolkata and had been married when she was very young to a man who ran a sound recording studio.

Don't Fight For Your Excuses

It's so very human to fight for your excuses. "I can't be better than I am at work." "I don't have the time to exercise." "I can't do this dream or that dream because it's too hard/scary/impractical." The more you fight for your excuses, the more they'll own you. Let them go. And step into your power. Leaders don't make excuses. They create results. And no great life was ever built on a foundation of excuses. So stop making them. Most of them are self-created delusions. Designed to help you avoid doing the things you are afraid to do. Yes, beneath every excuse lives a fear. A fear of changing. A fear of the unknown. A fear of failure. A fear of success. Today can be the day you burn the bridges that lead to your excuses. Today can be the day you step up to the possibilities that lay just off the beaten path of your life. Today can be the day you Lead Without Title. And access your greatness.

Eid Mubarak Bakra Eid or Eid al-Adha is celebrated with great solemnity and reverence across the world to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s faith and belief in God, as he agreed to sacrifice his beloved son at the order of God. The holy festival also marks the close of the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage undertaken by millions of Muslims every year in Mecca. The entire world gets engaged in sacrificing domestic animals as part of the festival’s celebrations. Preparations for the occasion start days before the festival arrives. Domestic animals, such as goat, sheep, lamb, cow or camel, are brought to houses well in advance and well taken care of. Bakra Eid is a movable festival and celebration of the same depends on the appearance of the moon. As such, the date of the festival does not remain the same as per the Gregorian calendar, though it falls on the same day according to the Islamic calendar. Read on to know the date of Bakra Eid in the coming years.

When Is Eid al-Adha Eid al-Adha is celebrated on the 10th day of the twelfth month of Dhul Hijjah as per the Hijri calendar. While this date is the same in the Islamic calendar, the date changes from year to year on the Gregorian calendar. The reason for the difference in these dates is that the Islamic calendar is a lunar calendar, while the Gregorian calendar is a solar calendar. Hence, the lunar calendar is

eleven days shorter of the s o l a r c a l e n d a r. Therefore, the date of Eid al-Adha shifts back 10 or 11 days in the Gregorian calendar. Moreover, the festival is celebrated on two different Gregorian dates in different parts of the world, due to the visibility of the crescent moon at different times.

At the Hajj pilgrimage, after completing the Hajj, millions of pilgrims reach the grounds of Mina on Bakra Eid where they sacrifice an animal. The animals that are deemed Halal or fit for sacrifice are only slaughtered. After doing so, men shave their heads, while women cut a small portion of hair from their braid. The meat is divided into three equal portions. The first part is consumed by the family, while the second portion is distributed among friends and relatives and the third portion is given to the poor and needy. The sacrifice or Qurbani is made to show an individual’s faith and belief in Allah. This religious festival is carried out for three days in Saudi Arabia as well as other parts of the world.

Gurunanak Jayanti Among the Sikhs, Gurunanak Jayanti- the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak, the founder of the faith- is an occasion for great rejoicing. Guru Nanak was born in 1469 AD at Tolevandi (near Lahore), and his birth anniversary is celebrated with much pomp and religious fervour across the Sikh community. The festivities for the day begin with early morning processions known as the 'prabhat pheri'; the procession starts at a

l o c a l gurudwara and makes its way around the neighbourhood, chanting verses and singing hymns. Prabhat pheris are held on the days prior to Gurunanak Jayanti; and for the three days too, there is a continuous reading of the Guru Granth Sahib, from beginning to end, without a break.

G r a n t h S a h i b , carried on a beautifully decorated float and accompanie d b y musicians and five armed guards (who represent the panj piaras). Prayers and kirtans at gurudwaras are followed by The day of the festival is marked by a special procession in which pride of community meals (langar), where place is reserved for the Guru all- irrespective of religious conviction- are welcome.

Children’s day is special day for the children. Universally, Children’s Day is celebrated on 20th November, every year. But in India it is celebrated on 14th November, because the date marks the birth anniversary of legendary freedom fighter and independent India’s first Prime Minister – Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru. As a tribute to Nehru and his love for children, Children’s Day is celebrated on his birth date. This day reminds to each and every one of us, to renew our commitment to the welfare of children and teach them to live by their Chacha Nehru’s quality and dream.

Bhabhi Tere Devar Deewane Apparently, devars Anas Khan and Abhishek Sethiya are both trying to woo their on-screen bhabi Vibhuti Trivedi, in real life Vibhuti Trivedi aka Kinjal of Neem Neem Shahad Shahad may not occupy the centre stage on reel, but off it, it's an entirely different tale. She has become the hot cake on the sets of the show as she is being showered with attention by her two male co-actors - Anas and Abhishek. Interestingly, Vibhuti is playing their onscreen bhabhi. We are told that Anas aka Deven and Abhishek aka Chirag are completely smitten by her. They are always v y i n g fo r h e r u n d i v i d e d attention and are always at her service as soon as the camera stops rolling. Whenever the lady is not shooting, both of them call her constantly with some or the other frivolous reason. Informs our source, "Things went so awry one day during the shoot that the director was on the verge of losing his calm.
