Emergence — New Memorial for the Alishan Forestry When Architecture Meets Metaphor In this competition, the most critical challenge is to develop a new memorial prototype by melding architectural language with metaphysical elements. The design process consists of tons of drawings, tests, and intense dialectics between the ideas of the metaphysics and the concrete science; the product means to invoke people’s memories of the forestry and of the mountain Alishan in Taiwan.
