Speeches at 2am! Sandra Wang I had the opportunity to study in Madrid as a Fulbright Scholar as part of the International MBA program at Instituto de Empresa from 2004-2005. The MBA students came from over 40 countries, which broadened my world view through our interactions. However, I still wanted to get to know Spanish professionals and families, which is why I deeply appreciated being invited into the warm circle at the Asociación J.W. Fulbright. Something that I experienced through the Asociación was the commitment to lifelong learning at the monthly tertulias and the dialogues following at Café Hispano, as well as the genuine friendships between the members. There was such an energy and vitality that was contagious! I remember being amazed after the annual Fulbright dinner celebration, to realize that the party was just beginning at 2AM with speeches! Back in the U.S., I have gotten involved with our local Fulbright group and have gotten to know other alumni and current Fulbright scholars. I remember the great model from the Asociación, and hope to build that kind of meaningful professional and personal friendships in my life. Currently, I am working at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in wealth management and estate planning for private clients, with a background as a Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Financial Consultant, and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my husband and toddler son.
