Water Because water is becoming scarce, Airwell Group departments review their water consumption for production and sanitary installations every year to identify further potential for reducing water waste. Over recent years the Group has drastically reduced its water consumption.

TECHNOLOGY IN HARMONY WITH ENVIRONMENT Environmental awareness is increasing throughout the world from over the years. For the Airwell Group, acting in an environmentally conscious manner is a cornerstone of our company policy. This not only means using natural resources responsibly and developing energy-saving systems, but also reducing the quantity of waste material by exercising a sense of responsibility in the development and manufacture of our products. To this end, recyclable materials are used and raw material and energy inputs are kept to a minimum. The Airwell Group’s corporate management assesses its compliance with these requirements in annual reviews and defines new goals in order to meet tomorrow’s environmental requirements today.

Emission The Airwell Group always uses green refrigerants with less impact on the environment and is searching for alternative refrigerants like CO2. An increased amount of training hours are offered every year to internal and external service people to further increase safe handling of refrigerants with a focus on leak detection, filling and recapturing. Noise Our overall level of industrialisation implicates an increased level of noise. Airwell Group R&D centres give special attention to minimising the noise levels for every newly developed product to increase our customers comfort level. The increased use of new technologies in applications like the inverter driven motors support our objective Waste Airwell Group concentrates its efforts to reduce the amount of waste by increasing the use of recyclable material in produced units, and to actively involve its suppliers in this process. This effort implies all product processes including development, production, logistics, installation and maintenance until the end of the product life. 7
