The subject of Gail Albert Halaban’s first monograph, Out My Window (Powerhouse, 2012), which includes this image, focuses on the lives of others, caught through their New York windows, in a voyeuristic manner reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window (1954).
