Newhouse said that because of the Internet and public sources, buyers are more informed than ever about market conditions and the correct pricing levels for housing. Consequentially, they know a good value when it is presented and stay away from those homes that are overpriced, no matter how nice they might be. “You’re not there to impress the neighbors with how high your price is; you’re there to impress the buyers with your price,” said Scanlon.
