Both Newhouse and Scanlon agree that in order for a house to be given consideration by buyers, it is essential that the home be appropriately priced and marketed with well-taken photographs. ate pricing levels in the housing market. “We have consistently shown, even in the markets that have been considered a challenge, when it’s priced right, it sells,” said Newhouse. Newhouse said that because of the Internet and public sources, buyers are more informed than ever about market conditions and the correct pricing levels for housing. Consequentially, they know a good value when it is presented and stay away from those homes that are overpriced, no matter how nice they might be. “You’re not there to impress the neighbors with how high your price is; you’re there to impress the buyers with your price,” said Scanlon.
