Machu Picchu reopened to tourists on April 1. The popular tourist site in Peru had been closed following flash flooding and landslides that washed away the railway line that connected it to the town. Tourists will have to use Piscauccucho as a departing point until the beginning of May when Ollantaytambo is expected to reopen.
City Lodge opens in Fourways City Lodge recently celebrated the official opening of its Fourways property on the corner of Witkoppen and Montecasino Boulevard. The new hotel features 211 rooms with air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs and satellite channels, en-suite bathrooms, tea- and coffee-making facilities, electronic safe and work desk. The property also features a coffee shop, bar, fitness room, infinity pool and boardroom facilities able to accommodate 12 and 14 delegates respectively, with laptop connectivity, conference call capability and flat-screen TV.
