[ ANSELMO 1910 ] Unveils Carrara Watch by Giuliano Mazzuoli Anselmo 1910 has presented the new Carrara watch by Giuliano Mazzuoli, in an event held at Espaço Cook It, in Lisbon, with the presence of the Italian master watchmaker and of the actor and friend of the brand, Ricardo Pereira. During the event, Mazzuoli offered Ricardo Pereira a collection timepiece. Accepting the watch, the actor felt touched “for knowing (he) was receiving from the hands of a great artist a unique piece produced with enormous passion and accuracy”. On the other hand, the master watchmaker acknowledged that “Ricardo Pereira was selected as a friend of the brand precisely because he has the typical proﬁle of people who wear Giuliano Mazzuoli watches – young, modern, trendy and dynamic”. The new Carrara watch, with a case sculpted in the same marble that Michael Angelo used for his works of art, is being exclusively sold in Portugal at Anselmo 1910 jewellery stores. The marble used in these watches is extracted from the Carrara quarries, located 100 km from Florence; the main feature of this marble is its white colour and dark grey veins of varying tones. Each lot of marble is different, making every Giuliano Mazzuoli’s Carrara watch unique. The ceramic dial in blue, white or black, covers a Swiss automatic movement. The rectangular-shaped indexes bear a 3D look, and the leather strap is directly inserted into the case; the deployant buckle is made of steel. After presenting the new collection, Giuliano Mazzuoli and Ricardo Pereira took part in an Italian showcooking event, during which the guests cooked their own dinner – an ‘alheira’ (traditional smoked sausage) and broccoli risotto. Herdade dos Grous most excellent wines were served with this meal, notably the Reserva Tinto 2012 and also the Late Harvest.
