Anno Schreier

Anno Schreier is a German composer, born in 1979. Besides vocal, orchestral and chamber works, he has written several large-scale operas, such as "Die Stadt der Blinden" (Opernhaus Zürich, 2011), "Mörder Kaspar Brand" (Deutsche Oper am Rhein, 2012), "Prinzessin im Eis" (Theater Aachen, 2013), "Hamlet" (Theater an der Wien, 2016). Originally from Aachen, Germany, Anno studied composition in Düsseldorf, London and Munich, with Manfred Trojahn and Hans-Jürgen von Bose, among others. Since 2008 he teaches Music Theory at the University of Music, Karlsruhe. In 2010 he received a scholarship for the German Academy in Rome, Villa Massimo.
