Festival of Archaeology Let them eat… Bread!

So You Want to be a Centurion when you grow up?

Sat 14 July, 11am-4pm & Sun 15 July, 2pm-4pm Use authentic recipes and cooking techniques to find out what a Roman loaf would taste like.

Empire: A Roman Spectacular Sat 18 & Sun19 August, 11am-5pm Come and see life 2,000 years ago with the Ermine Street Guard as they celebrate their 40th Anniversary. Back by popular demand are the Gladiator troop Ars Dimicandi, all the way from Italy! Find out what life was like as a soldier, a doctor or as a Roman lady and train as a Gladiator. Adults: £4.50, Concessions: £2.50, Family: £12. In association with Celtic Manor Resort.
